Using this site

By using lightnow.ca, you agree to these terms. LightNow is operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We may update these terms, and the version posted here applies from the date shown above.

Artwork and copyright

All artwork, photographs, and text on this site are protected by copyright and belong to Darren Rea or the artist who created them. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them commercially without written permission. Buying a physical artwork transfers ownership of that object, not its copyright, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Buying from LightNow

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe. One-of-one pieces go to the first buyer to complete checkout; if someone else completes checkout first, your order is cancelled and your card is not charged. We may cancel an order and refund you in full if a piece is listed in error. Mystery Box purchases are final sale and non-refundable. Colours and condition

Colours vary between screens, and on-screen sizes in the gallery are approximate. Please rely on the listed dimensions, and contact us before buying if you would like more detail.

Not investment advice

Nothing on this site, including the Journal, is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We make no promise that any artwork will keep or increase its value.

Limits on our responsibility

This site is provided as it is, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot legally be waived.

Privacy

We collect what you give us: your name, email, shipping address, and order details when you buy, your application when you apply as an artist, and anything you send when you contact us. We use it to fulfil orders, review applications, and reply to you. We do not sell personal information.

Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the site and deliver orders, namely Stripe for payments, Netlify for hosting and form submissions, and shipping carriers. Your browser stores your language choice and cart on your own device so the site can remember them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to any consumer rights that apply where you live.
